Joestar Struck is a free otome game that lets players date any of the four protagonists in the popular manga, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure—Jonathan, Jotaro, Josuke, and Joseph—in a Japanese high school setting. In the story, the players will play as a transfer student in the school where the boys attend—or in Jonathan’s case teaches. There, you will spend your days as students do, and over time,  grow closer to the boys and learn their personal struggles.

Joestar Struck maintains the integrity of Araki’s original manga. It is set in a present-day Japanese high school for delinquents. The ages and relationship in the manga are fudged a bit to fit all four characters in the same setting. However, it does not affect anyone’s personality, so the characters remain as they are in the manga. The four characters never act out-of-character, and fans will see some sneaky references to the other aspects of the Jojo canon hidden everywhere. 

There is no set gender for the player character, and the romance elements only go as far as kissing. With this, the game is accessible for all gender orientation and age groups. More, the dialogues presented in the game aren’t that mind-blowing, so they won’t trick you. If you know the original story by heart, you can navigate your way to the good ending with little to no trouble. If you like to play it again, the routes are varied, so you don't feel like you are repeating the same story with a different love interest. 

Joestar Struck is a relatively short yet fun indie game made by a small team of developers. With this, except that the game will not provide the most polished experience. The art is either repurposed from the official material is drawn by the developers themselves, so it is somewhat amateurish. It is also unclear how the players can unlock all CG art slides. However, the ramshackle presentation gives the game an atmosphere of wholesomeness.

If you cannot get enough of the Jojo boys with their canon stories alone, then you will love this Ren’Py visual novel. The game does not only let you explore the lives of the four protagonists of the well-loved manga but also allows you to pursue a romantic relationship with them. There are varied routes that you can explore, so you can pursue a storyline with each character. The art and music are a bit amateurish, but, overall, this is a simulation game that is worth trying.
